Jagtial, Sept.14 : Renowned micro-artisan, Guinness World Record holder, and honorary doctorate recipient Dr. Gurram Dayakar from Jagtial district has demonstrated his artistic mastery once again by crafting a miniature clay Ganesha idol on the head of a sewing pin ahead of the Ganesh Navratri festival.
The artist spent 10 consecutive hours of intense concentration relying solely on natural clay and water colors to carve the intricate idol on the pinhead, an object barely visible to the naked eye. Dayakar’s remarkable precision and patience have drawn praise from art enthusiasts and local community members alike.
Beyond showcasing his technical skill, Dayakar created the micro-sculpture to raise environmental awareness. He urged the public to shun chemical-coated and plaster-of-Paris idols that pollute water bodies and soil, advocating instead for eco-friendly clay Ganeshas for future sustainability. Over the years, Dayakar has consistently used his micro-artistry to highlight pressing social and environmental issues, bringing international recognition to Jagtial district.
