Siddipet, Aug. 30: Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar assured comprehensive development for Musthafapur village in Bheemadevarapalli mandal during the “Palle Palleku Ponnam Anna – Praja Palana” outreach program today. Addressing local residents and farmers, the Minister revealed that the Gouravelli project will soon supply irrigation water to 770 acres in the village, noting that compensation has finally been disbursed to farmers who surrendered 21.20 acres for canal construction two decades ago.
Reviewing public welfare initiatives, Minister Prabhakar highlighted the distribution of Indiramma housing, 268 Cheyutha pensions, free electricity up to 200 units under Griha Jyothi, and bank linkage loans worth ₹9.75 crore to local self-help groups. Responding to civic grievances raised by village Sarpanch Gaddam Sujata Raghupathi Reddy, the Minister sanctioned new Anganwadi facilities, village roads, and an ANM healthcare post, while urging farmers to shift toward dryland and oil palm cultivation to combat weather uncertainties.
Emphasizing youth welfare and public health, Minister Prabhakar urged young people to step away from mobile phone addiction and actively participate in sports using newly provided open gyms and sports kits. He also called on residents to adopt eco-friendly steel banks over single-use plastics, install rooftop solar panels under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, and submit new pension applications before the August 31 deadline to secure government benefits.
