Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Aug.17 : A joint team of civil police and Telangana Special Police (TGSP) personnel launched a raid on illicit liquor manufacturing dens in Nimmagudem village under the Adivimuttaram police station limits. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Muttaram Sub-Inspector Ramesh as part of ongoing measures to curb illegal liquor trade in the district.
During the search operation, police seized approximately 50 liters of gudumba (illicitly distilled liquor) along with fermented jaggery wash used in its preparation from two suspects. A case has been registered against the two accused individuals under relevant sections of the law.
Police officials warned that strict surveillance and special enforcement raids against the illegal manufacturing, transportation, and sale of illicit liquor will continue across the district. They cautioned that stringent legal action will be initiated against anyone engaging in bootlegging activities.
