Rajanna Sircilla, Oct.4 : Senior officials of the electricity department have placed a Junior Accounts Officer (JAO) under suspension following allegations of inappropriate behavior toward a female co-worker at the electricity office in Sircilla, Karimnagar district. The action was taken after an official inquiry confirmed the merit of the complaint filed by the aggrieved employee.
The accused officer, identified as K. Ravi, was posted in the ADM section of CESS under TGNPDCL in Sircilla. According to sources, the female employee lodged a formal harassment complaint against him with higher authorities. Acting on the complaint, Superintending Engineer (SE) Srinivasa Rao ordered a preliminary inquiry and directed a Vigilance Committee to probe the allegations.
Based on the findings submitted in the Vigilance Committee report, CESS Managing Director Tirupati issued suspension orders against K. Ravi, following instructions from the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) and SE Srinivasa Rao. Officials stated that the suspension orders were issued two days ago, though the matter came to light recently. As per the disciplinary terms, the suspended officer has been instructed not to leave the headquarters without prior permission during his suspension period.
