Hanumakonda, Oct.8 : Asserting that the welfare of RTC workers is a primary objective of the Congress-led state government, Parkal MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy campaigned in support of the TWU, SWF, and INTUC alliance candidates for the TGSRTC union elections at the Parkal RTC depot. He urged workers to vote for the alliance candidates on the ‘Arrow’ symbol (Region Class Serial No. 6, State Class Serial No. 3) to secure a decisive victory.
Addressing the workers during the campaign, MLA Prakash Reddy highlighted that the united alliance candidates are committed to protecting the rights and promoting the well-being of the RTC staff. He criticized the previous BRS government for allegedly stalling RTC union elections for a decade and neglecting the pressing issues faced by the workforce.
Prakash Reddy stated that after assuming office, the Congress government restored democratic rights to the workers and has been actively taking steps to resolve their long-standing grievances. He assured that the administration will continue to support measures that strengthen the transport corporation while safeguarding employee interests.
The MLA called upon the entire RTC workforce to unite and elect the TWU-SWF-INTUC alliance with a overwhelming majority to ensure strong representation for their welfare. Several local leaders, union representatives, and depot workers participated in the election campaign.
