Hyderabad, Oct.10 : Government Whip and MLC Balmoor Venkat launched a sharp attack against BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), alleging that the opposition leader is secretly undergoing medical treatment at his farm house to avoid drug testing. Addressing the media, Venkat alleged that KTR engaged a London-based doctor for a price of Rs 5 crore to undergo a specialized hair treatment intended to erase traces of drug usage from hair follicle samples.
The Congress leader questioned KTR’s recent messages to BRS cadres stating he was suffering from fever and requesting people not to visit him. Venkat claimed that the story of a fever was merely a cover-up to conceal his prolonged stay at the farmhouse while undergoing the alleged secret procedure.
Challenging the senior BRS leader, Balmoor Venkat dared KTR to come live on social media platforms if he was genuinely suffering from a simple fever. He alleged that KTR was intentionally avoiding public appearances and media interaction until the treatment process concluded, fearing potential drug tests and forensic scrutiny.
The allegations have sparked a political controversy in the state, with Congress leaders demanding a thorough investigation into the matter, while BRS cadres dismissed the charges as politically motivated slander intended to tarnish the image of their working president.
