Mulugu, Oct.12 : The Telangana government has sanctioned ₹3 crore for relocating electrical lines passing dangerously over residential houses and expanding power infrastructure across the Mulugu constituency. Responding to a formal request by Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, the Energy Department issued Government Order (GO) No. 32 authorizing the project.
Minister Seethakka had brought the safety hazards and daily hardships faced by local residents due to low-lying power lines to the government’s notice. She appealed for the immediate diversion of these transmission lines to mitigate the risk of electrical accidents and ensure public safety in residential areas.
Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka responded positively to the request, directing the government to review proposals submitted by the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TNPDCLL). Following financial concurrence, the government formally approved the ₹3 crore budget for shifting the lines and augmenting local electrical infrastructure.
Special Chief Secretary Naveen Mittal issued the government order, instructing the Chairman and Managing Director of TSNPDCL to initiate immediate action for implementing the execution works. Expressing relief over the sanction, residents of the Mulugu constituency thanked Minister Seethakka for resolving the long-standing infrastructure problem.
