Bhadradri Kothagudem, Oct.15 : Chunchupalli police arrested a 39-year-old medical practitioner, Dr. Nadikudi Shailesh Kumar, following a formal complaint by a woman alleging harassment under the guise of providing medical treatment. The arrest was executed early Thursday morning, October 15, in Vidyanagar Colony, Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
The accused doctor was practicing at Sri Krishna Multi Speciality Hospital located in Vidyanagar Colony. Following the victim’s complaint, Chunchupalli police registered a case against him under Crime No. 114/2026, invoking relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Police taken the accused into custody during the early hours of Thursday and completed the necessary legal formalities. Dr. Shailesh Kumar was subsequently produced before the local judicial magistrate, who ordered him to be remanded to judicial custody. Further investigation into the case is currently underway.
