Hanumakonda, Oct.19 : District Collector Chahat Bajpai conducted a surprise inspection at the Wellness Center located on the Government Maternity Hospital premises in Hanumakonda on Monday. During the visit, she assessed the quality of healthcare delivery and facility maintenance, issuing strict directives to healthcare staff to streamline operations and ensure seamless medical services for visiting patients.
Accompanied by Medical Officer Dr. Susmitha, the Collector inspected various specialty departments, including Dental, Gynecology, General Medicine, General Surgery, ENT, the pharmacy store, and diagnostic laboratories. Reviewing the daily outpatient (OP) flow and staff attendance logs, Collector Bajpai interacted with attending doctors and duty personnel. Dr. Susmitha informed the Collector that the center has witnessed a significant increase in daily outpatient footfall.
During interaction with patients waiting in queues, several individuals brought to the Collector’s notice the delays faced while receiving prescribed medicines at the pharmacy counters. Addressing the issue, Collector Bajpai instructed officials to expedite the online data entry process for drug distribution and directed immediate steps to set up additional computer terminals to eliminate operational bottlenecks and minimize waiting times for patients.
