Warangal, Oct.19 : The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has inaugurated the Sowjanya and Srinivas Venkata Atluri Software Performance Analysis and Research Center (SS-SPARC) on its campus. The specialized research facility has been established through a contribution of ₹12.5 lakh from distinguished alumnus Srinivas V. Atluri, a 1983 B.Tech. graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering who currently serves as Lead Performance Engineer at SAP SuccessFactors in California, USA.
The inauguration event was attended by NIT Warangal Director Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi, Deputy Director Prof. P. Ratish Kumar, Dean of International Relations and Alumni Affairs Prof. T. Designed to enhance practical learning, SS-SPARC will offer students hands-on training in enterprise software performance testing, workload simulation, application server optimization, and database analysis. Speaking at the ceremony, Srinivas Atluri underscored the critical role software speed, scalability, and system reliability play in modern enterprise applications.
The new center, set up within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, aims to enable students to detect software bottlenecks, optimize application efficiency under heavy workloads, and engage in high-impact industry collaboration and consultancy projects. The proceedings concluded with department presentations and a vote of thanks proposed by Associate Dean Prof. P. Sreehari Rao.
