Hanumakonda, July 20 : Legal aid initiative project P.R.A.N (Public Redressal Associated Network) was officially launched on Monday to provide accessible legal aid, public grievance redressal, and welfare support to citizens, with a special focus on women, children, senior citizens, and specially-abled.
The project was inaugurated by Manthri Ramakrishna Sunitha, Chairperson of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Principal District & Sessions Judge, alongside G. Ramalingam, DLSA Secretary and Senior Civil Judge.
Developed by GKNECT in association with the GK NAAM Educational and Charitable Trust, the project operates under the aegis of the DLSA, Hanumakonda.
Project P.R.A.N. functions as a citizen-friendly platform connecting individuals to mediation services, legal counselling, and government welfare schemes. Backed by a distinguished advisory board, including retired judges and Supreme Court advocates, the initiative utilizes a structured six-stage redressal process spanning from initial grievance assessment to final resolution.
In addition to handling legal disputes, the organization will collaborate with the DLSA to conduct legal literacy camps, stakeholder workshops, and community outreach campaigns. These efforts aim to educate citizens on their constitutional rights, enhance public confidence in the judicial system and promote inclusive social development across the district.
