The Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar launched developmental projects in Achampet of Nagarkurnool district
Nagarkurnool, July 28 : The Congress government under the leadership of Chief Minister A.Revanth Reddy is fully committed to the comprehensive development of tribal regions by prioritizing education, infrastructure, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, said the Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar after launching developmental projects worth Rs.12.70 crores along with MLA Dr. Chikkudu Vamsi Krishina here in Achampet of Nagarkurnool district on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stated that tribal welfare extends beyond routine schemes to include modern infrastructure, quality education, and economic empowerment. The sanctioned works are funded under Article 275(1) grants and the PM Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (PM DA-JGUA).
The projects include constructing additional classrooms, kitchen-cum-dining halls, and toilet blocks at the Mannanur PVTG Boys Gurukul Junior College, Mannanur Tribal Girls Ashram School, and Udimilla Tribal Girls Ashram High School, along with compound walls for tribal institutions in Achampet, Inole, Banal, and Chenchugudem.
To strengthen local tribal economies, the government is establishing a Tribal Multipurpose Marketing Center in Mannanur. Minister Laxman Kumar highlighted that this center will ensure fair prices for forest produce collected by tribal families, eliminate middleman exploitation, and boost household incomes, while new shopping complex constructions will generate self-employment opportunities for local youth.
