New Delhi, August- 10 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended Dr. Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan Rao, former Chairman of the Telangana State Backward Classes (BC) Commission, for his literary contributions and lifelong dedication to BC welfare. Accompanied by his wife, Sudha Sree, Dr. Rao met the Prime Minister at his Parliament House office for a ten-minute interaction, during which he presented three of his published works.
The volumes presented included Shri Narendra Modi — A Transformative Global Statesman, the Telugu work Antyodayam Nundi Viksit Bharat, and the trilingual publication GST: Social Justice, Economic Equality and the Journey of Development. Upon reviewing the works, Prime Minister Modi remarked that authoring such comprehensive books was akin to a “yagna.” He enquired about Dr. Rao’s student-led advocacy, his service across BC commissions, and praised his persistent efforts for backward communities as highly commendable.
Dr. Rao stated that the Prime Minister particularly appreciated his rise in public life from a numerically smaller social group and advised him to continue writing. Encouraging collaborative welfare efforts, PM Modi lauded Dr. Rao’s commitment to public service.
The presented works were previously launched by key national leaders; Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman released the GST volume at Parliament House in December 2025, while BJP National President Nitin Nabin unveiled the other two titles in Hyderabad in June 2026. Expressing gratitude to PM Modi for the meeting, Dr. Rao also acknowledged the support of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, MP Dr. K. Laxman, MoS Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and other senior leaders.
