Peddapalli, Oct.5 : Government Whip and Peddapalli MLA Chinthakunta Vijayaramana Rao stated that the Telangana government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is developing public educational institutions on par with top private schools. Accompanied by local leaders and departmental officials, the MLA inspected the ongoing construction works of the ₹200-crore Integrated School complex at Ramunipalle in Eligaid mandal on Monday.
Speaking to the media during the site visit, Vijayaramana Rao highlighted that the state government sanctioned ₹200 crore per constituency for integrated school complexes to foster inclusive education for students across all communities. He noted that over the past two-and-a-half years, ₹70 crore was sanctioned in Peddapalli constituency alone to upgrade school infrastructure, construct new classrooms, toilets, and boundary walls. Criticizing the previous BRS regime, the MLA alleged that public schools were neglected for a decade while private educational institutions were prioritized.
The MLA detailed that the upcoming residential campus at Ramunipalle will cater to 2,560 students, equipped with modern hostel facilities, playing fields, and dining halls. Reaffirming the administration’s welfare push, he emphasized that Telangana is leading the nation by providing nutritious breakfasts, milk, and ragi malt alongside mid-day meals in government schools, while also extending mid-day meal schemes to Intermediate students in government junior colleges with the support of the Hare Krishna Movement. He urged parents to enroll their children in government schools to benefit from highly qualified B.Ed-trained faculty and corporate-level amenities. Agriculture Market Committee chairmen, Single Window directors, mandal party presidents, and local public representatives participated in the inspection.
