Jangaon, Sept. 12 : Officials from the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) conducted a raid on an illegal clinic run by a unqualified medical practitioner at Yerragollapahad village in Jangaon district on Thursday, seizing 40 varieties of medicines valued at ₹2.10 lakh.
The accused, identified as Panneru Ramesh, was operating a setup named ‘First Aid Clinic’ despite lacking a valid medical license or authorization as a medical representative. During the inspection, drug control officials uncovered substantial stocks of prescription drugs stored on the premises without any legal authorization.
The seized stock included high-risk medications such as antibiotics, steroids, habit-forming drugs, analgesics, anti-ulcer drugs, and antihypertensive medicines. Following the seizure, TG SAFE officials arrested Panneru Ramesh and registered a case against him.
