Karimnagar, Sept.20 : BJP Kisan Morcha State Vice President Singireddy Krishna Reddy strongly condemned the illegal registration of residential lands under the Waqf Board in survey number 18 of Rukmapur village in Choppadandi mandal. Led by BJP Mandal President Mogili Mahesh, a team of party leaders visited the village on Monday, September 21, 2026, to express solidarity with affected families and interact with residents living in anxiety.
Addressing the media, Krishna Reddy stated that nearly 60 years ago, around 40 families belonging to Dalit and Bahujan communities purchased four acres of land in survey number 18 from the Annamraju family through registered sale deeds. Residents constructed homes with official Gram Panchayat approvals, secured electricity and drinking water connections, and built houses under various government housing programs over the decades.
The BJP leader emphasized that land records from Khasra Pahani up until the introduction of the Dharani portal explicitly reflected the victims’ ownership in both patta and possession columns. He questioned how revenue officials abruptly transferred four acres of residential property to the Waqf Board account in 2020 without presenting valid legal documentation or prior notice.
Demanding immediate rectification, Krishna Reddy urged the state government to remove survey number 18 from Waqf records and restore property rights to original landowners. He called upon the local Hindu society to unite behind the victims, assuring that the BJP will continue fighting legally and politically until justice is served. BJP leaders Gandla Satish, Thota Kotesh, and several affected villagers were present during the visit.
