Karimnagar, Sept.20 : Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar sharply criticized ruling party leaders for visiting former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse, questioning whether the private property was a tourist destination. Speaking to the media in Karimnagar on Sunday, September 20, 2026, he asserted that if any government land was encroached upon, the Congress administration should immediately seize it and initiate criminal proceedings rather than engaging in political drama.
Addressing the media after handing over newly acquired tricycles and fogging machines to municipal sanitation workers alongside Mayor Kolagani Srinivas and Deputy Mayor Sunil Rao, Bandi Sanjay outlined major urban development projects for Karimnagar. He announced that ₹17 crore tenders for bio-mining at the dumping yard are set to begin, while an additional ₹80 crore from UCF funds will be deployed for solid waste management.
Turning his focus to state politics, the Union Minister stated that the Congress party approached the Supreme Court regarding MLA disqualification cases out of fear of facing the Khairatabad by-election. He predicted that if by-elections take place, voters will politically reject the ruling party, adding that the main electoral contest in Telangana remains strictly between the BJP and the BRS.
Ahead of the Ganesh immersion festivities, Bandi Sanjay urged citizens to participate peacefully and maintain Karimnagar’s harmonious atmosphere while extending full cooperation to the police and municipal authorities.
