Karimnagar, Oct.1 : Terming ‘Mission Indradhanush’ a vital lifeline for future generations, BJP Kisan Morcha State Vice President Singireddy Krishna Reddy stated that the initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi safeguards children from life-threatening diseases. Attending as the chief guest at the ‘Anganwadi Milan’ program organized at the Ragampeta Anganwadi center, Krishna Reddy highlighted that Narendra Modi remains dedicated to the conviction that the nation progresses when mothers and children are healthy and secure. He noted that record budgetary allocations have been made for maternal and child welfare over the past decade.
Elaborating on central welfare schemes, the BJP leader noted that ‘Mission Indradhanush’ provides free vaccinations against 12 life-threatening diseases, including diphtheria, polio, tetanus, and measles, even in remote villages and tribal hamlets. He credited the Central government’s comprehensive vaccination drive for achieving a significant reduction in the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) across the country. He further praised the ‘Saksham Anganwadi’ initiative for upgrading centers with drinking water, electricity, and modern pre-school infrastructure, while digital growth tracking through the ‘Poshan Tracker’ app ensures transparent governance.
Acknowledging the dedication of Anganwadi and ASHA workers, Krishna Reddy commended their role in combating anemia and developmental delays in children through programs like ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’ and annual ‘Poshan Maah’ awareness drives. He explained that under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana’ (PMMVY), financial assistance is directly transferred into the bank accounts of pregnant women, while the ‘SUMAN’ scheme ensures completely free and safe institutional deliveries in government hospitals. Calling on citizens to support Prime Minister Modi’s vision, he emphasized that welfare schemes under the current regime are directly reaching doorsteps rather than remaining on paper. The event was attended by BJP Mandal President Mogili Mahesh, General Secretary Edla Suresh, Dalit Morcha Mandal President Raju, local leaders, Anganwadi workers, ASHA volunteers, and local residents.
