Hyderabad, Oct.3 : A 27-year-old postgraduate medical student was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a hotel room in Miyapur. The deceased has been identified as Komati Srijana, a native of Sangareddy district, who was pursuing her first-year PG in Pediatrics at a medical college in Hanumakonda district. Srijana had been missing since September 30 after arriving in Hyderabad from Hanumakonda.
Following a complaint lodged by her father when she could not be reached, the police tracked her mobile phone location to a hotel in Miyapur. Upon reaching room number 502, officers discovered her body in a partially decomposed state. Following preliminary procedures and an inquest, the body was sent for a post-mortem examination before being handed over to her family members.
Investigating officials suspect that a man named Ravi Kumar was staying with Srijana in the hotel room prior to the incident and fled after her death. Preliminary inquiries revealed that the two had known each other for a long time, though Srijana had reportedly been maintaining distance from him over the past six months. Following allegations raised by her father, the Miyapur police registered a case under relevant legal provisions and launched a search for Ravi Kumar while analyzing CCTV footage, call detail records (CDR), and other forensic evidence.
