Warangal, Oct.3 : In view of the upcoming Graduates’ MLC election, BRS state leader Anugula Rakesh Reddy visited the Central Library in Warangal to interact with candidates preparing for various competitive examinations and urged them to enroll as voters. Interacting with the youth, he emphasized that the Graduates’ MLC election differs significantly from general elections, as the electorate strictly comprises highly educated individuals, intellectuals, and socially conscious citizens whose judgment carries immense weight in shaping public discourse.
Rakesh Reddy stated that graduates should support leaders who consistently fight for their rights rather than those who appear only during elections and disappear afterward. He criticized the Congress government for failing to honor the promises made under its ‘Youth Declaration’ during the assembly elections, alleging that despite promising two lakh jobs within a year, the administration has failed to recruit even 10,000 candidates over the past two years. He listed unfulfilled commitments such as the job calendar, unemployment allowance, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam, filling of SC/ST backlog posts, 75% reservation for local youth in the private sector, interest-free loans up to ₹10 lakh for unemployed youth, full fee reimbursement, and electric scooters for female college students.
Highlighting his ongoing struggles on behalf of the youth over the past two years, Rakesh Reddy recalled taking the legal fight against G.O. 46 to the Supreme Court and actively opposing G.O. 29. He appealed to all graduates and unemployed youth to register as voters and cast their vote to hold Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the ruling Congress party accountable for their unkept promises while extending support to the BRS.
