Hanumakonda, Oct.4 : Hanumakonda Police conducted a comprehensive counselling and sensitization session for local lodge and hotel owners, managers, and operators on maintaining strict compliance with security protocols and statutory guidelines. Organized under the directives of Hanumakonda Police Station Inspector Macha Shivakumar, the meeting focused on guest register maintenance, thorough identity verification, functional CCTV coverage, and proactive measures to prevent illegal activities on commercial hospitality premises.
Addressing the operators, Inspector Macha Shivakumar instructed that guest rooms must be allotted only after verifying official identity proofs and recording complete credentials in standard guest registers. He warned management against allowing lodges and hotels to be used as venues for unlawful or anti-social acts, emphasizing that hoteliers must remain vigilant. Operators were advised to maintain fully operational CCTV cameras covering entry and exit points at all times and to immediately alert the police regarding suspicious individuals or unusual movements.
The Inspector cautioned that guest registers, digital CCTV recordings, and visitor records must be made readily available for police verification during routine inspections. He warned that strict legal action under relevant statutory provisions would be initiated against establishment owners who fail to follow standard operating procedures or collude in illegal activities. Sub-Inspectors Satish and Kishore were present during the counselling session.
