Mulugu, July 16 : Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women and Child Welfare Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) has directed district officials to complete all ongoing development works at Medaram on a war footing to ensure a hassle-free experience for the millions of devotees attending the upcoming mega congregation.
On Thursday, the Minister, accompanied by Mulugu District Collector Borkhade Hemant Sahadeorao, offered prayers to the forest deities Sammakka and Sarakka before conducting a field-level inspection of the ongoing works. Following the inspection, she participated in a ‘Vanamahotsavam’ plantation drive at the local English Medium Ashram School and chaired a high-level review meeting at the Haritha Hotel.
During the review, Minister Seethakka ordered the immediate preparation of estimates and clearance proposals for widening key routes including the Medaram-Tadvai, Pasra-Medaram, and Chinnaboinapalli-Kondai-Uratam roads to prevent traffic congestion. She also directed officials to modernize queue lines, fast-track drainage works, and submit proposals for a check dam across the Jampanna Vagu stream to ensure year-round water availability for holy baths, noting that the Chief Minister is personally monitoring this initiative.
Emphasizing environmental protection, she warned of strict action against littering and plastic dumping on roads. She urged shop owners to maintain sanitation and called on citizens to actively protect planted saplings.
