Mancherial, July 16 : As party of community policing, the Devapur police, in collaboration with Medlife and Sunrise Hospitals of Mancherial district organized a mega free medical camp at Venkatapur village in Kasipet mandal on Thursday.
Ramagundam Police Commissioner (CP) Amber Kishore Jha attended as the chief guest. Local tribal women accorded a grand, traditional welcome to the CP and Mancherial DCP A. Bhaskar, presenting them with headgears and garlands amidst traditional music and cultural dances.
Speaking on the occasion, CP Jha expressed happiness over the rapid development of infrastructure, healthcare, and quality education in remote villages. Highlighting the state of law and order, he advised parents to keep a close watch on children and keep them away from drug abuse, which destroys families.
He also emphasized road safety, urging two-wheeler riders to wear helmets, avoid giving vehicles to minors, and strictly refrain from drunk driving. He assured that the Ramagundam Police Commissionerate is always committed to public welfare and urged citizens to cooperate with the police department.
A team of specialists from various departments including Pulmonology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Radiology, and Ophthalmology provided free consultations. Diagnostic tests such as ECG, PFT, 2D Echo, Ultrasound, and blood sugar tests were conducted, and free medicines were distributed to the villagers.
Bellampalli ACP Kiran Kumar, Mandamarri CI P. Ramesh, Devapur SI Gangaram, doctors from both hospitals, local public representatives and villagers participated in a large number in the camp.
