Rajanna Sircilla, July 16 : District Collector Garima Agarwal has directed officials to accelerate the construction of Indiramma houses in accordance with the action plan. She instructed administrative teams to conduct daily field-level inspections to monitor progress.
The Collector held a teleconference on Thursday with housing department officials, municipal commissioners, and Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs). During the review, she assessed block-by-block progress across Sircilla and Vemulawada municipalities and all rural mandals.
Emphasizing that the state government’s flagship Indiramma housing scheme is aimed at fulfilling the dream of the poor to own a home, she insisted on complete transparency in identifying beneficiaries. She specifically instructed officials to prioritize those currently living in temporary huts and tin sheds.
“Officials must conduct regular field visits to guide beneficiaries and resolve ground-level bottlenecks. Daily targets must be achieved to ensure families can move into their homes at the earliest,” the Collector stated. She further asked officials to complete all preparations for the second phase of sanctions, targeting eligible citizens who are eager to build.
Additionally, the Collector reviewed preparations for the upcoming ‘Vanamahotsavam’ plantation drive. She directed all departments to keep saplings ready and complete the excavation of planting pits beforehand to ensure the mass greening campaign is executed seamlessly.
