Adilabad, July 17 : The Adilabad Two-Town police have arrested the mastermind of a major job fraud syndicate that duped several unemployed youth of lakhs of rupees by promising them government school jobs.
Adilabad DSP L. Jeevan Reddy disclosed the details of the arrest on Friday. The prime accused, Mohammad Babar, a resident of Karimnagar and chairman of the unrecognized ‘Global Foundation’, allegedly lured victims with fake promises of school attender jobs.
He collected Rs 5.30 lakh through cash and digital transfers from three members of a single family Nuguru Ravi, Narsamma and Prithvi and handed them forged appointment letters. Following a complaint by Ravi, a case was registered on October 14 in 2025.
Investigations revealed that Babar operated with the help of three intermediaries who were identified as Pallikonda Karthik, Rahulapenta Satish, and Wadekar Naveen Kumar, who lured vulnerable candidates for a commission. While the three agents were arrested and remanded earlier, Babar remained absconding. Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed him at the Adilabad RTC bus stand on July 16 and seized fake appointment orders and a mobile phone.
DSP Jeevan Reddy cautioned job seekers not to trust middlemen or unauthorized agencies demanding money for government jobs. He urged the people to immediately inform the police any such fraudulent offers to the nearest police station.
