Rajanna Sircilla, July 24 : In a major milestone for digital education in government schools, Telangana’s first humanoid robot teacher was inaugurated at the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) in Geetha Nagar of Rajanna Sircilla district on Friday.
The advanced AI-driven teaching assistant was presented to the institution under the ‘Gift A Smile’ initiative, launched to mark the birthday of Sircilla MLA and BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao.
The launching event took place in the presence of students, faculty members, local public representatives, and organizers. Equipped with an Intelligent Robotic Interactive System (IRIS), the humanoid is capable of teaching a wide array of subjects spanning from Nursery to Class 12 and can communicate fluently in around 20 languages. Powered by artificial intelligence, it can interact directly with students, address their queries, and explain complex academic concepts.
Organizers noted that the primary objective of introducing the humanoid is to make quality modern technology accessible to government school students, encouraging interest in science, technology, and AI. Students expressed immense enthusiasm upon interacting with the robot teacher, actively asking questions and engaging in live dialogue. The innovative initiative has drawn widespread attention across the region as a pioneering step toward interactive learning.
