Warangal, July 24 : Congress party Warangal MP Dr. Kadiyam Kavya raised a question in the Lok Sabha regarding the development of AYUSH healthcare services, central fund allocations, infrastructure improvements, and integration with the primary healthcare system in Warangal district.
Responding to her query, Union Minister of State for AYUSH Prataprao Jadhav presented a written statement detailing the financial and infrastructural support provided under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM). The Minister highlighted that funds were allocated for repairing nine Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, constructing permanent yoga sheds, installing drinking water and toilet facilities, and building an additional block at the Government Ayurvedic Hospital.
To ensure a continuous supply of medicines and strengthen infrastructure across the Government Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital, Ayurvedic College, nine health centers, and two dispensaries, the Union Ministry released Rs.56.16 lakh in 2023-24, Rs.24.32 lakh in 2024-25, and Rs.3.23 crore for 2025-26.
Welcoming the allocations, MP Dr. Kadiyam Kavya emphasized that alternative systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, and Homeopathy play a vital role in local healthcare. She urged the Central Government to further enhance infrastructure and expand AYUSH services deep into rural areas to ensure accessible, high-quality care for all residents.
