Hanumakonda, July 24 : Complete health is achievable only when food, lifestyle, emotions and sleep are maintained in harmony, said the Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy. Speaking as the chief guest at the university premises on Friday, he emphasized that adopting a natural way of living allows individuals to remain healthy and achieve longevity without heavy dependence on medical interventions.
The event marked the 8th anniversary of the International Naturopathy Library and Research Centre alongside the release of naturopathy research bibliographies, organized as part of Kakatiya University’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. Presided over by retired professor Prof. A. Sadanandam, the program was spearheaded by Prof. G. Rameswaram, whose post-retirement community service and research efforts were widely commended by the VC.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Pratap Reddy noted that abandoning traditional Indian dietary habits has led to a surge in lifestyle diseases, adding that the COVID-19 pandemic reinforced the critical role of natural healing.
Guest of honour Prof. T. Yadagiri Rao, VC of Telangana University, urged youth awareness regarding self-healing practices. Dr. G.P. Prasad from the National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage highlighted India’s rich medical legacy, noting the scientific basis behind traditional temple offerings like the Tirupati Laddu.

Prof. Rameswaram announced internship opportunities for KU students through an MoU, showcasing rare digitized texts collected from across the globe. KU Registrar Prof. V. Ramachandram, Sahitya Akademi awardee Dr. Ampasayya Naveen, and prominent nature cure practitioners attended the event.
