Mancherial, July 25 : Police registered cases against five individuals and subsequently bound them over for illegally trespassing into official quarters, assaulting forest watchers and stealing confiscated two-wheelers in Indanpally range under the Jannaram forest division in Mancherial district on Saturday.
According to the Sub-Inspector Gurram Uday Kiran, the incident occurred in the Kawal forest section. The accused were identified as Lakavath Upender, Gavvala Muralikrishna, Bhukya Sai, Lakavath Vikram, and Lakavath Rahul from Devuniguda Thanda trespassed into the quarters of Kawal Forest Section Officer Madhukar. They assaulted base camp watchers and stole two seized two-wheelers previously confiscated in a timber smuggling case.
Following their arrest, the five suspects were produced before local Tahsildar Bakkaiah The administration executed a bind-over bond requiring each individual to submit a security bond of Rs.2 lakh, along with a written undertaking guaranteeing good behaviour and zero criminal involvement over the next six months. SI Uday Kiran confirmed that all five individuals were subsequently released on personal surety.
