Rajanna Sircilla, August -10 : Youth play a pivotal role in building a healthy and strong society, stated by Dr. Chennamaneni Vikas, the Chairman of Prathima Foundation. Speaking on Monday at Hanumajipeta village in Rajanna Sircilla district, renowned as a cradle for arts and artists, Dr. Vikas expressed his hope that the village would soon transform into a powerhouse for sports talent as well. Following a request from local Sarpanch Janka Madhu, he inaugurated a newly established open gym set up by the Prathima Foundation for the local youth.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vikas emphasized that physical fitness and mental agility are essential prerequisites for achieving success in life. He urged the youth to cultivate an active interest in sports and regular exercise, highlighting how discipline and fitness can steer them toward a bright future.
Dr. Vikas also lauded central government initiatives like ‘Khelo India’ and the ‘Target Olympic Podium Scheme’ (TOPS) for fostering a strong sports culture right from the school level. He noted that equipping government schools with proper playgrounds, quality athletic equipment, and dedicated Physical Education Teachers (PETs) would help nurture rural talent capable of competing at the Olympic level. Reaffirming his commitment, Dr. Vikas stated that the Prathima Foundation will continue to extend full support for community development and social welfare initiatives across the region.
