Rajanna Sircilla, Sept.30 : Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed firm confidence that the Congress-led ‘Praja Palana’ government will remain in power in Telangana until 2034. Addressing a massive public rally in Rajanna Sircilla district following a three-kilometer foot march, the Chief Minister launched a scathing attack on the BRS leadership and made a major incentive offer to local party cadres. He announced that any Congress candidate who successfully defeats BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao in Sircilla in the upcoming assembly elections will be inducted directly into the State Cabinet with the approval of the party high command. Recalling historical political trends, Revanth Reddy pointed out that the Telugu Desam Party ruled from 1994 to 2004, followed by a decade of Congress governance from 2004 to 2014, and nine years under BRS rule from 2014 to 2023. He asserted that the people of Telangana have now chosen the Congress party for the 2024–2034 decade.
Turning his focus to regional development, the Chief Minister pledged full government backing to local weavers and industrial workers, noting that his administration spent ₹1,741 crore for weaver welfare during its first 1,000 days in office and released ₹1,700 crore for Sircilla’s overall development. He highlighted a new comprehensive welfare policy offering ₹5 lakh in financial assistance to the families of deceased Gulf migrant workers, addressing a long-standing demand. Furthermore, Revanth Reddy promised to nominate a leader from the Padmashali community to the Legislative Council and assured local voters that he would personally assume full responsibility for driving Sircilla’s economic transformation.
Accusing the previous BRS regime of widespread corruption involving Godavari water projects, Manair sand, and Bathukamma saree procurement, the Chief Minister urged party cadres to set aside internal differences and work unitedly to breach BRS strongholds. Earlier in the day, he inaugurated the new Karimnagar Integrated Collectorate building constructed at a cost of ₹51 crore and launched development initiatives worth ₹345.78 crore across the region. Revanth Reddy also reiterated his commitment to maintaining a cooperative working relationship with the Central government purely for state development, while continuing to fulfill major electoral promises including farm loan waivers and regular employee salary disbursements.
