Rajanna Sircilla, Oct.6 : Telangana Rakshana Sena President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has expressed serious concern over the management and infrastructure conditions at the historic Vemulawada Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple. Speaking at a martyrs’ commemoration meeting in Rajanna Sircilla district, Kavitha alleged that the sacred bulls (kodelu) offered by devotees to the deity are not receiving proper food or care, leading to distressing conditions at the shrine.
Raising questions over the treatment of the animals, Kavitha claimed that when the sacred bulls die, their final rites are not being conducted in accordance with scientific and religious procedures. She questioned the state government’s apathy toward the situation and asked why authorities have failed to establish a proper system for the welfare and solemn burial of the temple’s cattle.
Targeting local representative and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Kavitha questioned his silence on the matter. She stated that while the MP frequently speaks about protecting Hindu Dharma, he has failed to address the pressing administrative and welfare issues affecting one of the most prominent temples in his own constituency.
Addressing the ongoing temple reconstruction plans, Kavitha stressed the need to adhere strictly to traditional temple architecture (Agama Shastra). She asserted that the temple structure should be built using traditional black granite (Krishna Shila) rather than concrete, warning that concrete construction would compromise the shrine’s long-term stability and historical sanctity.
