Warangal, Oct.16 : Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao put an end to leadership speculation in the Narsampet Assembly constituency by announcing Peddi Swapna, wife of late former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, as the party’s leader and in-charge for the region. Speaking at a constituency review meeting held at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Friday, KTR assured that the entire party hierarchy stands firmly behind Sudarshan Reddy’s family.
Addressing party cadres alongside senior leaders including MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLC Rajender Rao, former Minister Rajaiah, former MP B. Vinod Kumar, and former MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, KTR termed Narsampet a stronghold for the BRS. He instructed local leaders to focus on grassroots organization for upcoming elections, clarifying that any temporary coordinators appointed in the future will only assist Swapna, who will remain the main leadership figure in the constituency.
Emphasizing Peddi Sudarshan Reddy’s dedicated service to the party since its inception as an MLA and undivided Warangal district BRS president, KTR urged cadres to dispel all rumors regarding new leadership claims. He stated that the party will accord parliamentary or legislative opportunities to Peddi Swapna depending on future political developments, calling on local leaders to work unitedly under her leadership.
