WARANGAL, JULY 12 : The annual 15-day ‘Ashadam Shakambari’ festival will be held at the historic Sri Bhadrakali Devi Temple from July 15 to July 19. The grand festival will kick off on the first day with the sacred ‘Sahasra Kalashabishekam’ ritual performed to the presiding deity, Bhadrakali Ammavaru.
Temple Executive Officer (EO) Ramala Sunitha officially announced the event schedule and released the festival posters on the temple premises on Saturday. She stated that the temple administration is making extensive arrangements as a massive number of devotees are expected to visit the shrine during these two weeks.
Throughout the fortnight-long festival, the temple will host special daily prayers, rituals, and unique religious ceremonies. The main highlight of the festival will take place on the final day, Wednesday, July 29, which coincides with Guru Purnima. On this day, the deity will be elaborately decorated with a vast variety of fresh vegetables, a traditional ritual known as ‘Shakambari Alankaram.’
The temple authorities announced that general public darshan on the final day will commence at 9:00 AM. The Executive Officer urged devotees from across the region to attend the festivities in large numbers, participate in the ritual and seek the blessing of Goddess Bhadrakali Devi.
