Karimnagar, Sept.18 : The Telangana Rakshana Sena hosted a round-table conference in Karimnagar to address pressing grievances faced by government employees, teachers, and pensioners. Led by district president Gunjapadugu Hariprasad, leaders asserted that employees are an integral part of governance, not slaves to the state, and extended full support to the ongoing struggles of the Employee JAC.
Speakers criticized the government for delaying solutions through committee formations instead of fulfilling election promises. They urged the state administration to implement key welfare measures immediately, pointing out that employees played a critical role during the Telangana statehood movement and deserve timely service benefits.
The meeting passed several key resolutions, including the immediate release of six pending Dearness Allowances (DAs), implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) with a 51 percent fitment, and the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) by abolishing the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). Attendees also demanded the resolution of issues related to G.O. 317, full corporate hospital coverage under the Employee Health Scheme, and prompt payment of retirement benefits.
Representatives from various employee, teacher, and pensioner associations, along with Telangana Rakshana Sena leaders, attended the meeting. Organizers warned that employee unions across the state would intensify their agitation if the government fails to issue formal orders implementing their demands.
