Hyderabad, Sept.25 : Warangal Member of Parliament Dr. Kadiyam Kavya met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad on Friday, and submitted representations seeking state government intervention to secure central grants, educational institutes, and infrastructure projects for the Warangal region. Former Deputy Chief Minister and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari also accompanied the MP to discuss constituency development funding.
Dr. Kavya urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to coordinate with central ministries to expedite PM-USHA funding for Kakatiya University to strengthen research and academic infrastructure. Pointing to the dilapidated state of the Warangal Fort Archaeological Museum, she requested the Chief Minister to pursue Rs 10 crore from the Union Ministry of Culture for displaying and preserving historical artifacts under the revised Museum Grant Scheme guidelines.
To boost technical training and employment opportunities for local youth, the MP requested the establishment of a National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) center and a Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD) center in Warangal. These institutes would offer advanced certifications in AI, robotics, cyber security, CAD/CAM, and 3D printing, supporting both engineering students and local MSMEs.
Additionally, Dr. Kavya appealed to the Chief Minister to take up the upgrade of the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) into a full-fledged Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) with the Ministry of External Affairs to eliminate Tatkal passport processing delays for tri-city residents. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responded positively, assuring that the state government will coordinate with relevant central ministries to act on the proposals promptly.
