Siddipet, July 25 : South Centra Railway (SCR) has officially announced the commencement of passenger train halts at the newly constructed Komuravelli railway station along the Secunderabad-Siddipet line, offering major relief to thousands of pilgrims travelling to the holy Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple here in Siddipet district.
Railway authorities confirmed that four daily DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit) passenger services operating between Secunderabad and Siddipet will stop at the new station starting July 26.
The morning schedule features an up-line service arriving at Komuravelli at 7:04 AM towards Secunderabad, alongside a down-line service reaching the station at 12:52 PM towards Siddipet. In the evening operations, a return service toward Secunderabad will halt at 2:38 PM, followed by an 8:04 PM stop for the return service bound for Siddipet. These passenger services will operate six days a week, excluding mid-week maintenance days.
The operationalization of the rail halt addresses long-standing transportation hurdles for pilgrims visiting the temple shrine. Previously, devotees were dependent on road transport, often facing heavy traffic congestion and inflated commuting costs during festival seasons. The direct rail link provides a safer, faster, and more affordable travel alternative for commuters across the region.
