Jangaon, Ju;y 24 : Mathematics is a unique subject and teachers must ensure that not a single student fails in maths this academic year, declared District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha. He urged educators to lead with passion and thorough preparation to elevate government school performance.
The Collector made a surprise visit on Friday to inspect the Comprehensive Teacher Training Programme at the Zilla Parishad High School in Nellutla village in Jangaon district. Interacting with mathematics teachers learning modern techniques, he assigned them problems in algebra, logarithms, and polynomial equations to demonstrate step-by-step resolution methods.
Collector Jha instructed educators to move beyond simple formulas and adopt visual teaching methods to make complex concepts easier to grasp. He stressed that classroom preparation significantly enhances teaching quality and called for strict adherence to the academic framework. To evaluate progress continuously, he ordered schools to conduct slip tests and mock tests every 15 days. He also mandated daily exercises from the ‘Fast Maths’ workbook to remove math anxiety and build speed among students.
Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha told the teachers that their teaching directly determines student performance. Classrooms have both advanced and slow learners, but with extra attention was given to each student by teachers can bring every student up to the same standard. He concluded by reminding teachers that the responsibility of placing government school students on a path to academic excellence rests firmly in their hands.
