Karimnagar Police have cracked the sensational robbery that occurred in Bhagat Nagar of Karimnagar district.
Karimnagar, July 31 : Police have cracked the sensational robbery at the residence of 80-year-ol Md. Azmat Ali in Bhagat Nagar of Karimnagar city, revealing that the victim’s son-in-law, Md. Rajaouddin (A1), and grandson, Md. Azeem Raza (A2), masterminded the crime.
Following a swift operation coordinated with Uttar Pradesh Police, three associates Salman alias Yadav (A3), Salman alias Viman (A4), and Md. Haseen (A5) were arrested in Meerut. Officers recovered Rs.2,09,000 in cash, 43.67 grams of gold, and 64.98 grams of silver ornaments from them.
The armed robbery took place on the night of July 21, when the gang entered the residence wielding dummy pistols and knives. They tied up the family members, looted cash and jewelry, and fled towards Huzurabad on two stolen motorcycles before abandoning the vehicles near Pedda Papayyapalli village.
Investigations revealed that A1 had marital disputes with his wife and had previously stayed with the victim’s family, gaining complete knowledge of their daily routine and stored valuables. After failing to extort Rs.5 lakh following losses in his garment business, Rajaouddin plotted the robbery with his son and the Meerut gang.
To evade Karimnagar police, A1 and A2 surrendered in a local Meerut court regarding prior criminal cases and are currently lodged in Meerut Jail.
