Karimnagar, July 30 : Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is proving to be a life-saving medical intervention for critically ill patients suffering from multi-organ failure and severe kidney damage, said the doctors of Medicover Hospital speaking at an awareness program held at the hospital here in Karimnagar on Tuesday.
The medical experts explained the vital role this advanced technology plays in stabilizing emergency ICU cases. They highlighted that CRRT acts as a 24-hour continuous dialysis system for patients whose blood pressure is too low or unstable to tolerate conventional dialysis.
By slowly and continuously filtering the blood to remove metabolic waste and excess fluids while administering blood pressure-supporting medications, the therapy relieves pressure on vital organs such as the heart, lungs, and liver, significantly improving recovery chances.
Through efficient use of the CRRT machine and dedicated teamwork, the doctors have successfully saved several patients who were in life-threatening conditions, the medical team stated. They emphasized that timely access to such advanced medical care during emergencies is crucial for achieving positive clinical outcomes and saving lives.
The awareness session was organized under the leadership of Medicover Center Head Gurram Kiran. Nephrologist Dr. Ramchander, Critical Care Specialist Dr. Upender Reddy, Emergency Medicine Specialist Dr. Satyanarayana, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Priyanka, and Marketing Manager Kota Karunakar were among the key hospital officials present at the event.
