The IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu inaugurated a free cancer and eye screening camp at the Mahadevapur Community Health Centre.
Jayashankar Bhupalpally, July 31 : The IT, Industries and Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu affirmed that the state government is taking special measures to provide quality medical services to people living in remote and rural areas. Speaking at the Mahadevapur Community Health Centre (CHC) on Friday, the Minister inaugurated a free cancer and eye screening camp organized in collaboration with IDBI, MNG Hospital Hyderabad, and Omega Hospital Karimnagar. He emphasized that the government is giving top priority to health and education, striving to ensure that quality medical care is accessible to all.
Detailing preventive health initiatives, Minister Sridhar Babu highlighted that the government is formulating a statewide action plan to conduct cervical cancer screenings to protect women. He urged women to undergo regular check-ups, noting that early detection allows for timely treatment before diseases worsen financially and physically for poor families.
To enhance diagnostic capabilities, advanced facilities like a Perimeter machine, an ECG unit, and a Health ATM capable of conducting 64 types of rapid health tests have been set up. The Health ATM provides a digital health card that securely stores patient test reports for up to five years.
Addressing infrastructural needs, the Minister announced that the dilapidated Mahadevapur CHC building will be reconstructed with modern amenities. He revealed that another free health camp will be organized on August 4 under the auspices of MNG Hospital and urged locals to utilize the services. District Collector Rahul Sharma, DMHO Dr. Madhusudhan, and other local officials were among those who were present at the event.
