Bhumi Puja performed for Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jagtial
JAGTIAL, JULY-12: State Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar urged leaders across all political parties to work together for the progress of Jagtial district. He made this call on Sunday during the ‘Bhumi Puja’ (groundbreaking ceremony) for the new Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School) building at Chelgal village in Jagtial district.
The event was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind, Vemulawada MLA and Government Whip Adi Srinivas, Jagtial MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam, and Jagtial District Collector Satyaprasad.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Laxman Kumar explained that allocating five acres of voluntary land in Chelgal for the school was a significant challenge. However, the state government successfully resolved the issue by passing a cabinet resolution after discussing it with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy. The Minister expressed his gratitude to both the Chief Minister and the Irrigation Minister for securement of the land, adding that as the Social Welfare Minister, he is also taking special measures to improve basic infrastructure in government student hostels.
Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allocating the land for the central school. The MP announced that 50% of the seats in the Jagtial Kendriya Vidyalaya will be reserved for local students. The remaining 50% will be allocated to the children of defense personnel as well as central and state government employees.
