Karimnagar, July 17 : District Collector Chitra Mishra on Friday directed officials to expedite the construction of the four-lane highway stretching from Kothapalli to Husnabad. Emphasizing a public-centric approach, she instructed that special care must be taken to ensure that local residents face no disruptions during the execution of the infrastructure project.
The Collector conducted an extensive field inspection across Kothapalli in Thimmapur mandal, Chigurumamidi mandal headquarters, and Mulkanoor village. During the tour, she closely reviewed the ongoing land survey and road alignment works. She instructed the engineering and revenue teams to speed up the Phase-1 construction, which connects Kothapalli to Sundaragiri.
Addressing potential displacements, Collector Mishra ordered a comprehensive study to identify if any residential houses would be impacted by the current alignment. She advised officials to explore alternative bypass routes wherever feasible to protect local habitations. Furthermore, she suggested organizing Gram Sabhas to gather public feedback and make inclusive decisions before finalizing the plans.
The Collector stressed that development must balance infrastructure needs with public welfare, urging teams to complete the land surveys quickly to avoid execution delays.
Additional Collector (Revenue) Srinivas Reddy, RDO Sharmila, Thimmapur and Chigurumamidi Tahsildars Srinivas Reddy and Kanakaiah, alongside Roads & Buildings (R&B) Deputy Executive Engineer Kiran and Assistant Engineer Suresh, accompanied the Collector during the inspection.
