While Naveen Kumar had developed a romantic relationship with her earlier, he grew enraged after she distanced herself and became close to Ravi Kumar during her industrial training. Driven by jealousy, Naveen Kumar hatched a plan to murder her on September 12, 2026, by forcing her into his EcoSport car at FCI Crossroads, where he forcefully made her drink pesticide mixed with water.
To cover up his crime, Naveen forced the victim to write a suicide note, took pictures on her phone, and delayed medical assistance until she lost consciousness. He then contacted her father, claiming she attempted suicide, and dropped her at a government hospital before fleeing. The victim succumbed during treatment the next day. Investigating teams tracked down the culprits using CCTV footage, call detail records, and technical evidence, while also recovering the vehicle and mobile phones.
Police stated that further investigation is underway regarding separate allegations against Ravi Kumar for sexually exploiting the victim against her will during her training period.
