Peddapalli, Sept.28 : NTPC Ramagundam organized a clean-up drive along the banks of the Godavari River near Anthergaon village to clear waste left behind after recent Ganesh idol immersion celebrations. Conducted under the organization’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the campaign aimed to clean up the riverbed and spread environmental awareness among local residents.
A large number of NTPC employees, representatives of workers’ unions, and local villagers from Anthergaon and Goliwada actively participated in collecting waste and cleaning the riverbank. As part of the drive, volunteers distributed dustbins to local residents to encourage proper waste disposal and prevent public littering near water bodies.
The event was led by NTPC Head of Project (R&T) Chandan Kumar Samanta, alongside senior general managers, Human Resources department officials, executive trainees, and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel. Local community leaders appreciated the initiative, highlighting the importance of collective action for environmental protection and rural hygiene.
