Karimnagar, Oct.17 : Taskforce police conducted a raid near an agricultural well excavation site on the outskirts of Somaram village in Saidapur mandal, arresting 45-year-old Vemula Bhumaiah from Sriramulapalle village in Ramadugu mandal for illegal possession of explosives.
Acting on reliable intelligence, police seized 475 gelatin sticks, approximately 3,000 meters of detonating wire across three bundles, and two compressor tractors bearing registration numbers TS 02 UC 2690 and TG 02 T 0082 from the possession of the accused.
The confiscated explosives and vehicles were subsequently handed over to the Saidapur police station for further legal action and investigation under relevant statutory provisions.
