Karimnagar, Sept.9 : The newly constructed University Gymnasium at Satavahana University was formally inaugurated on Wednesday. Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam attended as the chief guest alongside University Vice-Chancellor Prof. U. Umesh Kumar and dedicated the facility to the student body by cutting the ribbon.
Presiding over the inaugural ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof. U. Umesh Kumar emphasized that physical fitness and mental well-being are foundational to holistic student development. He remarked that positive thoughts and ambitions thrive within a healthy body, reaffirming the university’s commitment to providing top-tier infrastructure across all domains. He encouraged students to regularly utilize the gymnasium facilities to maintain physical health alongside their academic pursuits.
Following the ceremony, the dignitaries inspected the newly installed fitness equipment inside the complex. The event witnessed active participation from University Registrar Prof. P. Satish Kumar, VC OSD Dr. Harikanth, Controller of Examinations Dr. Suresh Kumar, Academic Director Prof. Surepalli Sujatha, Science College Principal Dr. Ramakanth, Arts College Principal Dr. Padmavathi, Pharmacy College Principal Dr. Srisailam, along with faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students.
