Hanumakonda, August, 12 : A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Telangana Department of Heritage and the Department of History at Pingle Government College for Women (Autonomous), Hanumakonda. The agreement was formally executed at the office of Heritage Department Director, Prof. Arjun Rao, in Hyderabad. Confirming the partnership, College Principal Lt. Prof. B. Chandramouli highlighted that the pact aims to foster awareness of historical site conservation and archaeological studies among female students.
Under the five-year agreement, students will gain hands-on practical exposure, research opportunities, and technical support. Prof. Arjun Rao stated that the Heritage Department will facilitate internships, museum visits, workshops, and field trips to engage students in active conservation projects. He commended the enthusiasm of history students from Pingle College toward heritage studies, noting that academic partnerships are vital to protecting Telangana’s rich historical and cultural legacy.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Kolipaka Srinivas, Head of the Department of History, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Suresh Babu, UGC Cell Coordinator Balaraju, alongside Assistant Directors of the Heritage Department Dr. Nagaraju and Dr. Mallu Naik.
