Peddapalli, August, 12 : District Collector Koya Sri Harsha issued suspension orders against K.N. Jaya Prakash, a Senior Assistant at the Manthani Mandal Parishad office, following serious financial allegations and official misconduct. The action was taken after local public representatives, employees, and retired staff raised complaints regarding financial irregularities during a special review meeting chaired by the Collector on August 7.
Based on preliminary inquiries, the Collector stated that Jaya Prakash was found guilty of gross negligence, lack of devotion to duty, and behavior unbecoming of a public servant. The official was deemed to have violated Rules 3(1) and 3(2) of the Telangana State Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964. Consequently, invoking Rule 8(1) of the Telangana State Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1991, the senior assistant was placed under immediate suspension pending a full departmental inquiry under Rule 20.
Under the suspension conditions, Jaya Prakash has been instructed not to leave the headquarters without prior permission, while being entitled to subsistence allowance and applicable compensations as per rules. Collector Koya Sri Harsha cautioned that strict disciplinary action will be taken against any official engaging in corruption, reiterating that government staff must maintain complete transparency and accountability in public administration.
