'Bomma Palleki' State-Level Talent Awards Ceremony conducted grandly in Nandikandi
Sangareddy, Sept.6 : The Kotha Telangana Charitra Brundam (KTCB) organized the state-level ‘Bomma Palleki’ talent awards presentation ceremony in Nandikandi of Sangareddy district. The event was held to honor the winners of a video-making competition aimed at scientifically preserving and visually documenting Telangana’s rich history for future generations.
In the award ceremony, D. Ravinder Reddy bagged the first prize for his video documentation of ‘Seethamma Loddi Yatra,’ while N. Vishnu secured the second prize for his entry on ‘Sreerangapur Ranganayakula Charitra.’ Additionally, special talent awards were presented to several creators—including Younus Parhan, M. Ravikumar, Samudrala Raju, and Acharya Bhadrigirish—for their visual contributions highlighting various historical aspects of the state.
Speaking at the gathering, KTCB President Sriramoju Haragopal and General Secretary Katta Srinivasa Rao stated that the organization initiated these video competitions to make local history engaging and accessible to the younger generation. The event was presided over by Bhairoju Chandrasekhar and featured INTACH Governing Council Member Manikonda Ved Kumar as the chief guest, alongside KTCB Honorary Advisor Dr. Emani Siva Nagireddy and Nandikandi Sarpanch Smt. Sravanthi Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy as distinguished speakers.
A key highlight of the day was a guided historical tour of the local Nandikandi temple led by renowned Sthapathi Dr. Emani Siva Nagireddy, who explained the structural and architectural features of each courtyard to the attendees. The program concluded with a traditional Telangana lunch served for all participants and visitors.
